Hawaii's Permanent Plot Network for Research, Monitoring, and Education

Our first two permanent plots are on state land recently designated as the Hawaii Experimental Tropical Forest at the Laupāhoehoe rain forest in North Hilo and the Pu‘u Wa‘awa‘a Forest Bird Sanctuary in North Kona (see map).  The third is on privately owned tropical dry forest land that is set aside for conservation. (Palama Nui; see map).
