Hawai'i Permanent Plot Network
Our international intern from Germany, Carl Simon Spinger, has started collecting data for his study on invasive tree ferns with help of our HIPPNET resource assistant, Amy Patterson. The objective of the study is to see how many individuals are in the plot and if they are affected by pig damage.
The data will be collected within the next months. After that, it will be analyzed with regard to spatial patterns and parameters affecting the abundance of invasive tree ferns.
